Must See Sights

Visit us, and try to prove us wrong!

Tasmania is a relatively compact state, and most tourist attractions seem like they are almost “around the corner”. Be aware that many Tasmanian roads can be narrow and windy, so the travelling times you are usually longer than you may plan.

  • Cradle Mountain Wilderness National Park – Tasmania is a walker’s paradise with world famous walks like the Overland Track

  • Sheffield, in the foothills of majestic Mount Roland, is the gateway to Cradle Mountain and a friendly, quirky rural town where history and art merge to create an entire town of murals.

  • Located between Latrobe and Sheffield, Railton is known as the Town of Topiary with more than 100 imaginative topiary characters found in its main street.

  • Lake Barrington is a designated “big fish” water, stocked by the Inland Fisheries Service with king size fish for anglers.

  • Kimberley Warm Springs is a nearby geothermal phenomenon with a visitor center. Located in the town of Kimberley, the Warm Springs create an eerie and beautiful natural habitat.

  • Mount Roland stands at 1233 metres above sea level and provides a stunning backdrop to the Kentish Municipality. The walk takes in the plains and plateau leading to the summit of the peak and there are two tracks to the summit.

  • One of Tasmania’s premium attractions Trowunna Wildlife Sanctuary is recognised as a world leader in Wildlife conservation. On tour, you can touch a devil, meet a wombat and view a Tasmanian devil social feeding.

  • Discover the magical world of Tasmazia and the Village of Lower Crackpot, offering fun and laughter for the whole family. Tasmazia is one of the world’s largest maze complexes with eight mazes to explore, including four mature botanical mazes, planted in viburnum and Chinese honeysuckle.

  • Devil’s Gate Dam and Lake Barrington, provide the venue for recreational pursuits such as waterskiing, fishing, rowing, swimming, walking and the more adventurous even abseil down the vertical dam wall.

  • Leven Canyon – Come to the edge of a dramatic canyon with a river twisting and roaring 275 metres below – and hear nature’s wild call.

  • Devonport‘s Shops – There are great beaches, rowing, sailing, kayaking and fishing. Walking and cycling tracks crisscross the city with plenty to see along the way including Aboriginal rock carvings on the coastal trail to The Bluff.

  • Many local art galleries, cafés, and much more!
