By prior arrangement, you can have Chef Naomi be your personal chef for the evening. She will develop a menu just for you from seasonal produce. Why not enjoy a 5-star experience for a special occasion?

Naomi will develop the menu individually with the person, and so catering to their unique tastes. Here’s an example of what she can create for you:

Entrée

gnocchi with a sage burnt-butter sauce or drunken scallops

Mains

slow-roasted lamb round on a bed of cauliflower puree with roasted vegetables or seared salmon with pickled vegetables and micro greens

Dessert

a trio of creme brûlée, stout brownie or lemon tart

Makes your mouth water, doesn’t it!

Aside from the more à la carte menu items, we also offer a selection of beautiful home-cooked meals for our guests.

Full cooked breakfast – locally cured bacon, our own free-range eggs cooked how you like them, home-made baked beans, mushrooms, tomato. Additionally, there is a selection of cereals, fresh seasonal fruits and breads.

We use local roasted coffee from Leaping Goat in Spreyton, which is not far from here in Devonport. Even though the owner, Russell, hates coffee…he completed a barista course and makes the best cappuccinos. Plunger coffee and a choice of teas are also included in the guest rooms.

As well as mastering coffees, Russell makes a fantastic bircher muesli while co-owner, Irene, often puts in surprise treats for breakfast: blueberry muffins, banana bread etc – all home-made, of course.

Afternoon tea is provided: home-made slices and cakes. We like the classics, too – scones or pikelets with jam made in-house and Chantilly cream. Feel at home and enjoy with a cuppa on the deck or in the gardens.

With prior notice, Russell will cook a hearty home-style meal for dinner using produce either from our own farm or sourced locally in Cradle Country.

We can even provide a picnic basket for you to enjoy while sightseeing around Sheffield, the Northwest or for day trips to Cradle mountain. Let us know and we will cater to your tastes whether it is a selection of meats and cheeses, salads, home-made quiche, even a sweet treat, naturally.

Glencoe Country B&B is a licensed guesthouse, so you can enjoy a bottle of wine, craft beer or a cider here at your leisure.

When in season, all of the vegetables come from our garden, and the meat often from our own steers.

We use Roaming Harvest produce and Leaping Goat coffee – all sourced locally from the Northwest of Tasmania on the Cradle Coast. The best food in Cradle Mountain to help support other local businesses.
